BARKBY UTD v THORPE ARNOLD
Barkby won by 24 runs
BARKBY came away with victory after a successful run chase.
Thorpe stormed to 27 from eight overs thanks to wayward bowling, but two wickets in four balls from seamer Joe Keithley put Thorpe on the defensive.
Worse was to follow in the next over through Matt Walton's stunning one-handed catch high from a fierce off-drive. Barkby's bowling and fielding became tighter resulting in two run-outs as Thorpe made 233-5.
Barkby started cautiously and Thorpe pounced with two early wickets.
But useful partnerships from Walton and Billy Tebbatt and then Alex Smithard and Keithley took the game away from Thorpe. Ben Hollis and Ian Lever took 20 from the last four overs for victory.
CATMOSE SCHOOL v KING EDWARD VII SCHOOL
King Edward won by 14 runs
CAPTAIN Wade won the toss and elected to bat first, and with partner Woolcott put on 22 before Wade was caught.
Josh Limbrick attacked immediately, hitting a six and four fours on his way to 25 and retirement. Heaver and Brown made good runs, while Cooper scored steadily, leaving Catmose to chase 89.

Then wickets began to fall, Limbrick striking first before man-of-the-match Heaver's great run out. Woolcott took three wickets in one over as the Catmose runs dried up.
