FRIDAY, 4pm: Egerton Park old boy Matt Boyce completed his milestone maiden century this afternoon in just his fourth First XI match for Leicestershire.
Boyce, who is in his first full season at Grace Road after completing a three-year degree course, helped Leicestershire coast towards a draw against Warwickshire in their rain-affected County Championship Division Two match at Edgbaston.

Most of the first two days of the match were washed out leaving little chance of a result, and Warwickshire's stubborn first innings knock of 433-8 declared took the game away from the visitors going into the final session of day three.

Having seen fellow opener Tom New depart without scoring, Boyce weighed anchor, playing with impressive concentration and technique to bring up his third 50 in four innings for the Grace Road side off a patient 137 balls.

After establishing a record Leics stand with Ackerman of 189, Boyce reached three figures off little more than 250 balls after hitting 12 fours and two sixes.

He was finally out shortly before tea on the final day for 106, compiled off 258 balls with the visitors safely on 287-5.
