SATURDAY, 1pm: The Crown TS march on at the top of the ALC Interior Design Division One as they stretched their lead to 12 points by beating Stute Wanabees 8-4.
They lost only one of the six team games and went further ahead as T. Gant and H. Asher's singles wins won the match. D. Woodcock made it 8-1 before Wanabees scored three valuable points through C. Graham, S. Candy and S. Packwood.
Second-placed Shoes Tucks almost white-washed the Crown X winning 11-1, L. Price saving the Crown's blushes by winning the last leg.
Sugar Loafers' 6-6 draw with Kings Arms has left them three points behind in third as P. Kesterton's 180 and last leg win rescued a draw for the Scalford team.
Crown Y stay fourth after sharing the team games with Sugar Loaf A at home. T. Kirkpatrick, J. Underwood, P. Hall, C. Hawley and C. Sharpe all collected points as M. Eggleton won a consolation leg in the fifth.
A see-saw battle ensued at Hoby as the Blue Bell took the advantage over Anchor Blue in the team games, leading 4-2 at the singles. The blues deserted the Anchor as M. Coulter, R .Wallis (180) and J. Gant nosed their side ahead only for G. Pizer, R. Prentice and R. Brown to turn the tables and win the match for the Blue Bell.
*In the Crown at Asfordby Division Two, the Black Horse's promotion charge gathered momentum after victory over the Crown Rif Raf. They now lead second-placed Blue Bell Z by 15 points.
The Horse lost only one of the team games before Crown's C. Green and L. Booth reduced the deficit to 5-3. But hope deserted them as Grimston's H. Hornbuckle, K. Goodacre, W. Sharpe and J. Taylor came out on top to record a 9-3 win.
Blue Bell Z stay second with an 8-4 win over visitors Blazing Saddles. They went 4-2 up going into the singles then four more legs were added by K. Taylor, S. Perfect, G. Taylor and P. Perfect.
Saddle's D. Walker and J. Stewart won their legs to keep them in sixth place.
The Anchor are joint second on 89 points after collecting 11 points from a depleted Stute You Sir side. K. Hudson, G. Jones and S. Genes won a solitary triples leg to leave the Anchor collecting bonus legs.
How Now Brown Crown stay in fourth after beating the Crown Jewels 8-4 with five players.
After leading 4-2 in the team games, A. Fletcher, E. Cowan and C. Robinson all won their singles legs to clinch the match before Jewels retrieved two legs through L. Cregan and P. Williams. R. Winter won the last leg for HNB Crown.
The Eliteless recorded their second win on the trot, this time over the Neville Arms. After the team games were shared the travelling Eliteless fell behind as P. Edwards edged his side into the lead in the singles.
M. Hubbard and S. Gregory reversed the lead as the Eliteless bounced back, and A. Richards set up an exciting finale as he levelled the match, but N. Gregory and A.
