THURSDAY, noon: Stories and memories of cricket matches past abounded at Egerton Park CC on Saturday as the club hosted an annual re-union.
Former players and club members from around the county and beyond gathered for a lunch, prepared by the lady members, ahead of the Everards County League derby against Thorpe Arnold.

The oldest former player was again 92-year-old Arthur Clark, dining alongside the first XI of 2008 and the Town Estate's senior townwarden Pat Cumbers.

A thrilling Division Two match ensured a large crowd stayed until the end of play as Park bowled out Thorpe to sneak home by just three runs.

Organiser John Bailey said: "It went very well and about 50 people came along. The cricket was good and a wonderful result for Park."
