SATURDAY, 9am: Unbeaten Con Merchants are the early Division Three leaders in Melton Summer Pool League after a close 5-4 win at We 'R' Out to Get Ya.
Also unbeaten are Legion Flyers and Phoenix Knights after the Flyers edged out the Lamb and Flag 5-4. Si Wheat helped the Knights overcome Young Guns 5-4.
Sonia's Sharks got off the mark with Richard Bowes and Steve Lang winning twice to beat GB 69ers, and Paul Middleton and Scott Corbett starred as You've Been Conned thumped Burton St Preachers 8-1.
*Oliver's Army are the early Division Four pacesetters as Dan McGolgan's and Simon Crossland's eight-baller gave them a 5-4 win at MSC B.
Dave Stanyer's treble gave Moon Rockets a 5-4 victory over Royale Joke, while Kris Owen guided Two Out of Threes to a 7-2 success against Pool Boyz.
Simon Peters capped Royale Poke's fightback from 4-2 down to beat Half Cut, and Kev Hubbard and Daniel Davies steered Ingalls Idiots past Crown Immigration Control 5-4.
*Division Five debutants Eaton Flyers have made a flyer with Glyn Slowley inspiring a 7-2 triumph against If Carlsberg Did Pool Teams.
The Legionnaires opened with a 7-2 win, Brian Kettel bagging a treble in a 7-2 win at Vikki's Fox, while Sarah Hare and Tracey Bishop guided Swanning Along to a 6-3 defeat of Granby Rejects.
Peter O'Callaghan helped Notorious TIB beat Rutland Rejects 6-3, and Rod Seaton won the decider to give his Soldiers a 5-4 win at Crown Asylum Seekers.
*In Division One, Noel's BBs lead after Steve Partridge and Graham Hack brought a 6-3 success against the Fulderiks. Also 6-3 victors were Duke A, for whom Tim Goodacre and Rob Barker starred against Down the Tree, and Duke Outsiders against Tree Muskateers.
Fubar trailed Pole Cats 4-1, but fought back and Stu Worby won the decider for a 5-4 victory, and Red Hot Chilli Potters won their first match, Shane Sharkey inspiring a 7-2 success over Court by the Fuzz.
*Timmy's Stick remain undefeated in Division Two after Russell Young's man-of-the-match display as they beat Alpha Cue 5-4.
Craig Hubbard edged Eaton past Waltham Masters 5-4 and Jonny Green's hat-trick gave Boys and their Toys a 5-4 win over the Workerbees.
Paul Jepson's treble couldn't prevent the Swanderers losing 5-4 at Gang Crazy, and David Hill was hat-trick hero in the Welby's 6-3 defeat of Crazy Gang.
