TUESDAY, 9.10am: Rower Callum Jones continued to set new records at the Peterborough Summer Regatta last weekend.
Competing for Newark Rowing Club on the Peterborough Rowing Lake, Jones, from Bottesford, competed in the J.14 single sculls on Saturday over 1,000 metres.

He won his heat before finishing third in the final, equalling the J.13 course record of 3min 55secs which he set in July.

On Sunday the 13-year-old went one better while rowing in the J.14 single sculls 500 metres races.

In the heats he broke the J.13 course record of 2min 04secs by a massive 12 seconds, setting a new record of 1min 52secs.

Then in the final, he slashed another second off that record, lowering it to 1.51.
