THURSDAY, 2.50am: Stuart Broad took his Test wickets tally into double figures to reduce New Zealand to 41-3 in the First Test Match at Lords.
Broad secured his 10th wicket in just his fourth Test appearance as the Kiwis number four Ross Taylor clumsily top edged a Broad delivery to Paul Collingwood for 19.

After rain washed out Thursday morning's play on day one of the First Test, England won a decisive toss and put New Zealand into bat in seamer-friendly conditions.

Lancashire's Jimmy Anderson bagged two early wickets to leave the tourists reeling on 18 for 2 before first change bowler Broad struck in just his second over.

With rain stopping play just a short while ago, New Zealand were looking vulnerable at 53 for 3 with Broad recording early figures of 3.4-0.9-1.
