The next match is on September 21.

* Rutland Water continues in fantastic form with a rod average of 4.29, very high for the time of year. The fish quality has been excellent with average fish weight reaching 21/2lb on certain days.

Boat anglers have had the best of the sport, but there are signs that bank anglers are getting into the fish again.

Most methods are working and one angler reported taking two fry feeding rainbows both over 5lb in two recent visits. The best rainbow of the week weighed 6lb 4oz, taken by H. Lewis, from Lancashire.
