THURSDAY, 4pm: Market Overton began disastrously against hostile bowling from young Thorpe Arnold bowler Ashley Aitkins.

THORPE ARNOLD B v MARKET OVERTON
Market Overton won by 38 runs

Aitkins took five wickets in his first three overs, including three wickets in four balls. The innings was rescued by A. Clarke who top scored with 58 not out for a respectable total of 143-7.

On a fast outfield, Thorpe started brightly against the openign bowlers, but the experienced replacements Paul Thwaites and Julian Clarke put Marko in charge despite another good innings from Simon Curley who retired hurt. Keith Evans kept the runs flowing as their innings closed on 105-7.

JAMIE Berry picked up his maiden five-wicket haul for Buckminster.
He took 5-42, and along with Ian Whatton (4-17), restricted Stellamen to a modest total.

Jon Senescall hit a run-a-ball 44 in reply and Dan Turner made an unbeaten 24 to guide Buckminster home.
