EGERTON PARK v BARROWBY
Egerton Park won by 8 wkts

Their opening batsmen made 67 and looked on course to set a reasonable target.

But Park's young guns ripped through the batting line-up.

The pick of the Park bowlers was 13-year-old Tom Glover who took 4 for 15 off four overs as Barrowby were dismissed for 169.

Park made a good start to their reply with Sam Collington and Richard Bailey before Collington was caught for 22.

Bailey scored his second half-century of the weekend and finished on 87, while Parnham made 32 not out as Park cantered to a good win.

CROXTON KERRIAL v THORPE ARNOLD THIRD XI
Thorpe won by 129 runs

THORPE'S young third team stayed unbeaten as they put in a good display with bat and an even better one with the ball to overpower Croxton.

Skipper Chris Waldron batted first and both Richard Randall and Mark Starkey made 40 for the first wicket before Starkey was sent back to the pavilion.

Joe Gant, Richard Garner and Glenn Hoyles consolidated the middle order leaving free rein for Chris Waldron and Matt Lane to accelerate the scoring.

They put on 84 for the seventh wicket before both were out as Thorpe closed on 211 from their 40 overs.

In reply Mark Starkey and Jenny Waldron kept things tight restricting Croxton to 23 for 2 from 10 overs, each claiming a wicket.

First change bowlers Ben Freer and Matt Lane continued the good work with three middle order wickets before Jenny Waldron and Joe Gant returned to take a further two apiece and wrap up a convincing victory.
