SLIDESHOW - MONDAY 11.45AM: Conker enthusiasts battled it out at the 24th annual Vale of Belvoir conker championships on Sunday.
Held for the first time at Long Clawson village hall, hundreds of people turned up to watch the competition which was compered by BBC sports commentator Ivan Gaskell.

The event - held in warm sunshine - saw one competitor retire with a broken arm and the youngest ever junior winner, seven-year-old Adam Bates, with runner-up Holly Edwards.

Adult winner in the men's competition was Richard Whitbread while women's champion was Helen Collins.
