SLIDESHOW, TUESDAY 11AM: A hardy bunch of runners took to a challenging 12km course in the inaugural running of the Melton Myre.
The Myre (which stands for Melton's Youngest Running Event) was staged by Melton Defence Animal Centre and was designed as a fundraising exercise for the Army and RAF Benevolent Funds.
As well as the tough terrain, entrants had several obstacles to negotiate at the Asfordby Road military base including log 'hurdles' and a water hazard.
The event, sponsored by dog food manufacturers Eukanuba and organised by Tam Nicol, was won by DAC employee John Siddons.
