WEDNESDAY NOON: Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was threatened with a bottle and had his bike stolen in Syston.
The incident happened at around 11pm on Wednesday September 24, 2008 after the 24-year-old victim was sat at the bench on Melton Road at its junction with Broad Street.
He was with a group of six to eight men he had met earlier in the evening at the fair on Central Park.
As they were talking, one of the group threatened the victim with a bottle. The victim ran off leaving his bike behind.
Five minutes later, he went back to get his bike but it was gone and the group had left. The bike is described as a dark blue Raleigh push bike.
The group are described as white and aged around 18-years-old. The suspect who threatened the victim is described as between 5'6" and 5'7" tall with short brown hair. He had distinctive eyebrows with shaved lines in them.
