Melton's growing Polish community will be able to get a taste of home thanks to a food store opening next week.
The Polish Food Shop in Sherrard Street is sure to cause rumbling stomachs among the estimated 700 Poles in the area when it starts trading on Monday.
Run by Blanka Chipasa, the shop will offer treats such as Polish sausage, bread, beer and Pierogi, a flour and egg snack with different fillings inside.
Blanka, a mum of two, said: "I've been in Melton for three years and knew there were lots of Polish people around but nowhere to buy Polish food.
"I had some English lessons and my tutor was asking 'What do Polish people need in Melton?' and I said 'a food shop.'
"I've been thinking about getting the shop off the ground since then and now it's happening I'm pleased and excited. A lot of people have been knocking on the door asking when I'm opening and not all of them Polish, some English people are interested in what they will be able to buy as well."
Blanka plans to open the shop 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
