The A607 in Frisby on the Wreake has been re-opened following a fatal collision earlier today.

The collision was reported at 12.40pm today (Friday, March 25) and involved a Range Rover Evoque and motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Range Rover sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

The A607 at the junction with Great Lane, Frisby and Rotherby was closed to allow emergency services to carry out their enquiries at the scene. The road has since been re-opened.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the DC 4484 Alison Ide on 101, quoting incident number 283 of March 25.
