A motorcyclist who died after a collision on the A607 Rearsby by-pass on Saturday (June 6) has been named by police.
Andrew Standley (32), of Mountsorrel, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision, which involved a black and white Kawasaki motorcycle and a red Massey Ferguson tractor towing a trailer, happened at about 4.15pm.
The Kawasaki was travelling along the A607 towards Leicester, from the direction of Melton, and the tractor was coming out of an entrance onto the A607 when the collision occurred.
The tractor driver wasn’t hurt.
Floral tributes to Mr Standley have been left near the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or either of the vehicles being driven beforehand to get in touch.

l A 17-year-old was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
