UPDATE: Motorcyclist, 56, seriously injured after road collision on the A606 at Ab Kettleby

A 56-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre with serious injuries after a road collision on the A606 at Ab Kettleby today (Tuesday, July 5).

The collision, which involved a black MV Augusta motorbike and a silver BMW happened at the junction of Clawson Lane at around 9.15am.

The road was closed for several hours as officers carried out their investigations at the scene.

The injured motorcyclist’s condition was described as serious at the time of going to press.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or either of the vehicles being driven beforehand. Call police on 101 and quote incident 127 of July 5.

l A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and been bailed pending further enquiries.
