Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by a car in Melton

A pedestrian has sustained serious injuries after he was involved in a collision in Melton at the weekend.

The collision took place just before 2am on Sunday in Scalford Road, and involved the man and a Vauxhall Zafira.

The 32-year-old pedestrian was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where he remains in a serious condition.

If you were driving along Scalford Road during the early hours of Sunday morning and witnessed the collision or saw either the pedestrian or car beforehand then please get in touch with Leicestershire Police.
