Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys for about the next four weeks due to temporary traffic lights on the A607 near Kirby Bellars.

A Leicestershire County Council spokesman said: “Works to a gas main on behalf of National Grid started on Monday, June 8 and will last approximately four weeks.

“National Grid has put in temporary traffic lights but they will normally be removed at night and during some peak periods. “We’re working with them so that disruption to traffic is minimised but we would advise drivers to allow extra time for journeys.”
