Casualty trapped after road collision near Shoby
A casualty was trapped in the wreckage when a car and a van were in collision near Shoby this morning (Wednesday).
Firefighters from Melton and Birstall and an East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) crew attended the incident, at 9.25am on Loughborough Road.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One van and one car were involved in the incident.
“One male was trapped and complaining of back pain.
“We fully removed the roof and helped aid extrication of the casualty and assisted EMAS with assessing the casualty.”
