Residents of East Goscote and the surrounding villages are being invited to take advantage of a new tennis court situated on the Jubilee Playing Fields.

Available for all to play on, the sports facility was built in August after the owners of the development land in Melton Road, East Goscote, made an open spaces contribution to Charnwood Borough Council under a Section 106 Agreement.

Membership is open to residents and non residents by visiting the Parish Office and filling out an application form. It is £5 for residents and £8 for non residents (a one-off fee).

Caroline Taylor, admin assistant to the clerk at East Goscote Parish Council, said: “The facility is excellent and play has been steady. So far the courts have been used by more than 40 families.”
