Road flooded in Melton after burst water pipe

Motorists have been struggling through flood water this afternoon in Melton after a water pipe burst.

Traffic was delayed on Saxby Road following the incident and engineers are now trying to fix it.

A spokesperson for Severn Trent said: “We currently have engineers in Saxby Road, Melton Mowbray, to repair a burst water pipe.

“To make sure our team can work safely we’ll need to put temporary traffic lights in place while we complete the repair.
