The Rainbows shop in Melton is holding a series of open days to recruit new volunteers.
The store, located at 35 Sherrard Street, will hold open days today (Thursday)and Friday, November 13, between 10am and 4pm, where budding volunteers can have a go at dressing the displays, trying out the tills and delving through donations.
The shop helps raise vital funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
The hospice provides care and support to children and young people with terminal and life-limiting conditions from across the East Midlands.
Lucinda Hardy, manager of the Melton Rainbows shop, said: “We’re looking for new volunteers to come and help us in the shop. “It doesn’t matter if you’re aged 16 or 96, if you have any experience or not, we’ll provide you with all the training you need.
“It’s a great way to keep busy, meet new people and learn new skills too. It’s a really friendly team and there’s always something to do – it’s never boring here at the Melton Rainbows shop!”
For more information or to sign up as a volunteer simply attend either one of the upcoming open days at the Melton shop.
