For the second year running it poured down with rain at the illustrious Old Dalby Day.

This however, did not stop people from enjoying the wonderful attractions the event had to offer for families.

Attractions included morris dancing, vintage cars, a 4.4 mile hill dash and a fancy dress competition.

Village resident and PR link for the event, Jim Patman said: “Numbers were slightly down on previous years but we still had around 2,000 people show up and have a fantastic time.

“One or two of the highlights this year included an Elvis impersonator and a family dog show which had around 25 entries.

“Next year we’re praying for sunshine.”
