Melton Station’s waiting room has been transformed thanks to paintings and drawings made by Sherard Primary School children.

Since the room was refurbished and fitted with art boards in 2013, pupils from St Francis Primary School, The Grove Primary School, St Mary’s Primary School, Birch Wood School and Sherard Primary School have decorated the boards to make waiting inside feel welcoming.

Melton Station supervisor Glen Fiddy said: “I’ve allowed the schools to create their own displays and choose the themes on a rotational monthly basis.

“I’ve had artwork on the boards from children in reception class up to Year Six. The displays make the place appear more inviting.”
