A customer vote of 377 has led to Sainsbury’s in Melton choosing Rainbows Hospice to support as its Charity of the Year.
Shoppers had to vote in store and online for Melton and Rutland charities with the winner getting help from Sainsbury’s to fundraise and raise awareness.
To celebrate the announcement, a launch day will take place at the store tomorrow. Customers will have a chance to meet representatives from the charity and learn more about the work they do as well as donate.
It’s the seventh year of the Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme with over £7 million being raised since 2009. For details visit www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk
