Hundreds of people attended Melton’s popular Frost Fair as part of the half-term fun in the town.
The event, which centred around Market Place, created a carnival atmosphere enjoyed by young and old alike.
Attractions at the three-day event, which ran on Thursday, Friday and into Saturday this year, included a visit from Jack Frost and the Ice Queen.
Other frosty-themed entertainment included a carousel, winter market, craft stalls and an appearance from some husky dogs.
Town bailiff Andrew Cooper, of event organisers the Melton Mowbray Town Estate, said: “Unfortunately Thursday was a wash-out but the other two days went ahead without a hitch and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
“New this year was a horse racing ride around a racecourse track.”
The fair was supported by the Melton Business Improvement District and the Town Estate.
