A cancer charity is appealing for groups and people across Melton to organise a fundraising Blooming Great Tea Party.
Marie Curie Cancer care is calling on people to hold a tea party between June 20 and 29.
Last year across the UK the Blooming Great Tea Party for Marie Curie raised £667,000, which pays for 33,350 hours of vital nursing care.
Carrie Seaton, community fundraiser for Leicestershire said: “We’re asking everyone in the community to host their own Blooming Great Tea Party for Marie Curie this summer. It’s such an easy way to get together with friends or family. The money raised by simply popping the kettle on will help more Marie Curie Nurses to provide free care to patients with terminal illnesses in their own homes.”
Donations are always welcome and appreciated. Pop down to the Melton shop on Nottingham Street, Melton.
