People in Melton who have been moved by Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris are being invited to pay a special tribute at the town’s St Mary’s Church.

A prayer chain has been started in the south transept in memory of the 129 people who lost their lives and also to channel thoughts and prayers for those living in France and others affected by the atrocity.

Anyone who wants to take part can take a strip of card, maintaining the blue, white and red sequence of the French tricolour flag, write a personal prayer linked to the Paris attacks and then add it to the chain link using the interlocking loops and the sticky tape provided.
