Melton patients are invited to attend the next governing body meeting of NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which will be held at Pera Innovation Park on Nottingham Road on Tuesday (July 21), starting at 9.15am.

The agenda will include a report on the first few months of the new urgent care services which were launched in April.

Since April urgent care services - for people who need medical help quickly for minor injuries and illnesses, but not emergencies - have been provided at Melton Hospital (weekdays 5pm-9pm and weekends/bank holidays 9am-7pm)

Graham Martin is chairman of the group which plans and pays for many NHS healthcare services in areas including Melton, Rutland and Market Harborough.

He said: “We are always delighted to invite people to the governing body meetings so they can see how the CCG works, what it is responsible for and put forward questions about healthcare in East Leicestershire and Rutland.”
