Melton couple Richard and Hilary Lawrence, of Scalford Road, let the public roam their garden on Sunday as part of the National Garden Scheme.
The garden which includes mixed borders, exotic plants, a vegetable parterre and a pond was open for homemade teas and plant sales.
Mrs Lawrence said: “It went very well and the weather stayed fine. We managed to raise over £700.
“We had around 110 people visit this year and our daughter Claire, who is an artist that is registered blind, sold some of her paintings.”
Proceeds from the entrance fees will go to the National Gardens Scheme charities, with other monies raised going to the Fight for Sight charity.
