Soon-to-be bride Bethan Jones is having her beloved long hair chopped off the day after her wedding to raise money for a cancer charity.

The 25-year-old student nurse, who lives in Melton with fiancee James Cooke (29), is giving the sponsorship proceeds from the effort and her shorn locks to theLittle Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children who lose their hair following chemotherapy treatment.

Bethan said: “I’m having about 30cm cut off the day after my wedding in October.

“I love my hair but there are children who could really benefit from having it.”
