Wymondham school kids take part in Race for Life

More than 40 pupils atWymondham's St Peter's CE Primary School put the textbooks down and staged their own version of a very important race.

Youngsters held a Race For Life event on the school field in a bid to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Teacher Emma Willis said: “Unfortunately, many of the children have had their lives touched by cancer and many of them wrote the name of someone who had inspired them to run on their backs.

“Many brought in donationations, and parents, who were invited along to support, were very generous. Even the youngest children ran with support from our year six’s.

“Well done Wymondham for raising £160.”
