UPDATE: Car crashes into front garden wall in Melton
A woman was taken to hospital after a car was shunted into the wall of a Melton front garden this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency services were at the scene of the collision which took place at the junction of Scalford Road and Laycock Avenue at around 3pm. One police car and one paramedic vehicle were in attendance, although no-one was seriously hurt.
A police officer at the scene said the woman driver of a red Honda Civic was heading up Scalford Road to turn right into Laycock Avenue when another car went into the back of her, pushing her car into the wall.
The owner of the property/damaged wall was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
