Slideshow: Quacking good fun at Knipton fun day
Villagers and visitors enjoyed a day of fun and fund-raising in Knipton at the weekend.
On Sunday, the Vale of Belvoir village held a duck race and fete, featuring market stalls, inflatable fair games and rides, giant slides, paintball arenas, face painting, a falconry display and a parade by the Duke of Rutland’s foxhounds.
Proceeds from the event will go to both the church and the village hall, to finish fixing its leaky roof.
Film, quiz and supper nights and coffee mornings have already been held to help boost the coffers and finance substantial repairs to the village hall, but fund-raising is still a necessity.
