Scalford Aurora Olympecks enjoyed by hundreds

Hen and duck racing were the highlights of a popular fundraising event which raised around £3,000 for charity.

The Aurora Olympecks which featured about a dozen birds was enjoyed by crowds of people at the village hall.

There was plenty of family entertainment with a mix of games, competitions and stalls at the event, organised by the Rotary Club of Melton Aurora.

Proceeds will be donated to Storehouse, the Melton charity which supplies food, clothes and other items to the needy, and the town’s Oasis Family Centre.
