MP welcomes increase in apprenticeships by more than a third in Melton and Rutland

MP Alan Duncan has welcomed figures showing the number of work places employing apprentices in Melton and Rutland has risen by more than a third since 2010.

Government figures show there were 350 such businesses in 2010/11 compared to 480 for 2012/13.

Mr Duncan said: “The Government has been removing the barriers to hiring an apprentice and these figures show Melton and Rutland employers are responding positively.”
