Leicestershire County Council wants people to have their say on its proposed new adult social care accommodation strategy for older people and extra care review.

Councillor Dave Houseman, cabinet member for adult social care, said: “The population of older people in Leicestershire is increasing so we want people to start planning now for their later lives. We’re seeking their views so we can best identify the general accommodation needs of older people.”

County Hall says it needs to respond to the increasing level of demand for social care services at a time of major reductions in its budget.
