Melton Mowbray Young Farmers club achieve county success
Melton Mowbray Young Farmers have continued their fine winning run at the Leicestershire and Rutland Federation of Young Farmers Club's County Rally.
For the second year running the Melton club has won the Smith Cup for the “Most Improved Club” at the 70th anniversary of the event held at Clares Barn Farm, Twycross.
Olivia Parry, Melton Mowbray Young Farmers Club, secretary, said: “We had lots of top three places the most mentionable of which being a first in the girl’s cross country for Lucy Thompson and a first for Ollie Towle in one of the stage competitions.
“The club did great and we’re all very proud of these achievements. It’s our best year at the rally in a long time.”
