Melton Country Park given spruce up by volunteers
Friends of Melton Country Park and staff from McDonalds have held a litter pick to spruce up Melton Country Park.
The team invested time picking up rubbish, planting bluebells and trimming hedges around the park’s sensory garden.
Jean Forbes of the Friends of Melton Country Park, who regularly holds litter picks, said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to all the helpers we had on the day.”
Friends of Melton Country Park hold “work days” on the first Saturday of each month focusing on the upkeep of the park. Their next meet will be in September.
