Melton-based company honoured to win Leicestershire Cares Award

A Melton-based company has won a Leicestershire Cares Award in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the community.

The ProHelp Award, for companies who support community groups with pro-bono help, was won by Sylvester Cheung Architects which has an office on Clover Drive.

The awards organisers said Mr Cheung, a former ProHelp chair, ‘goes above and beyond in everything that is asked of him’.

He said: “We’re honoured to win the ProHelp Award. I’ve been involved for many years and it is always good to see all the professional hours put in have been of use and a help to people.”

l Jodie Hancock, from Kettleby Foods in Melton, was nominated in the Volunteer of the Year category but narrowly missed out on the award.

Monica Stark, director of Leicestershire Cares, said: “Congratulations go to the finalists and winners who have proved to be fantastic supporters of the work of Leicestershire Cares. Thousands of individuals and community groups are helped each year through their outstanding contributions to the community.”
