Managing director Dorian Gonsalves accepted the gold award at the Lettings Agency of the Year Awards.

The prize was presented by awards’ host Sir Clive Woodward.

Belvoir has outlets in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Peterborough, Bourne, Spalding, Sleaford, Boston, King’s Lynn, Melton Mowbray and has its headquarters in Grantham.

Mr Gonsalves said: “This is quite simply a fantastic achievement for Belvoir, and I am delighted for the entire team.

“I am absolutely thrilled and humbled that Belvoir has won this prestigious Gold Award and the title of Best Lettings Franchise for a record sixth year.

“Every year the judging gets tougher and the competition gets keener, so to win Gold in such a highly competitive category that was judged by a panel of highly respected industry experts, and overseen by the Property Ombudsman is amazing.

He added: “Belvoir is a forward thinking company and I believe that our collective strategies, many of which were identified in the judges’ report, coupled with the sheer hard work and commitment of everyone in the team, are the key factors that enable Belvoir franchise owners to build very profitable and successful long-term businesses.”

The judges said: “Belvoir takes a progressive view when recruiting its franchisees, as 95 per cent don’t have a background specific to the industry.

“Franchise owners can expect to build profitable long-term businesses. One owner sold his business for £1 million in 2015 and other franchisees are achieving turnovers of over £1 million as well.”
