Homecare company celebrates outstanding Care Quality Commission rating

A former British Airways cabin crew member who started an elderly care company has become the first homecare provider to receive an outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

Richard Aram and his wife, Jo, opened their homecare company dedicated to care for older people in East Nottingham and Melton Mowbray in 2012.

Their company, Home Instead Senior Care, helps 90 older people continue to live in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes as long as possible. Its clients include people in Harby, Langar and Colston Bassett.

The couple have become the first homecare provider in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire to get an outstanding rating – the highest possible - from the CQC. Services are marked over five categories: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

Richard and Jo said their outstanding rating was due to their dedicated employees.
