THURSDAY 3PM: A warehouse stocking X-rated material has been given the green light subject to stringent conditions.

Melton Council's licensing committee approved a sex shop establishment licence for the storage building in Kings Road.

Business partners Paul Noble and Dan Cruickshank had insisted the warehouse wouldn't be open to the public or have visible evidence of the contents.

Despite some strong opposition to the opening of the warehouse, a report by council licensing officers said the application was for 'a warehouse to store the articles to be sold by mail order and internet'.
