Free microchipping for dogs event to be held in Melton
The event will take place in the Market Place between 10am and 2pm.
Victoria Clarke, Melton Council’s environmental; protection and safety manager, said: “There has been a recent change in legislation making it now compulsory for all dogs in England to be microchipped.

Hide Ad“You can expect to pay between £10 and £30 for this service at a vet’s but the council is offering the opportunity to have your dog or dogs chipped for free.
“Simply attend our event with your dog, register your details and your dog will be chipped there and then.”
The free dog microchipping event is being held by the council in association with the Dogs Trust - the UK’s largest dog welfare charity - and College Garth Kennels.
