A WOMEN’S Institute has celebrated its first birthday with a festive fair.

Old Dalby WI, which was revived last year after a 10 year gap and now has 50 members, saw over 100 people attend the event at Old Dalby Village Hall on Saturday.

The craft fair included five make and take stalls, where visitors were invited to try their hand at a variety of crafts including making chocolates, gift boxes, wine glass charms and Christmas decorations, there was also a home-made cake stall.

WI president Helen Roythorne-Finch said: “The craft fair was a huge success and fully met our aim of raising our profile.”
