Engineers choose Melton Mowbray as base for regional office
Wormald Burrows Partnership, which was founded 37 years ago, has moved into offices at the Pera Business Park, in Nottingham Road.
Two existing staff members have relocated from the firm’s Bedfordshire base to Melton Mowbray and one new member of staff has been recruited locally.

The business will be overseen by director Hiranthi Cook who relocated with her family to Leicestershire four years ago.
Since then she has worked from an office in her home to grow the Wormald Burrows business locally.
But she said that as the business became more established and secured key clients in the Midlands, the company required suitable office premises.
Hiranthi Cook said: “The all inclusive and flexible office space options and facilities at Pera Business Park made it our first choice.

“It enabled our small business to establish itself locally and facilitate future growth without large overheads.”
She said that the firm’s clients were pleased that the company had a more established footing locally.
The company provides vital advice on residential developments, highways, transportation and drainage schemes.
Its clients include residential developers, such as Larkfleet Homes in Bourne, Davidsons Homes in Ibstock, Wimpey East Midlands in Leicester, and Morris Homes in Rugby as well as local authorities and other government bodies.

Carrie Potter, sales and marketing manager for Pera, said: “It is great to see a company relocate from outside of the local area to the business park.
“The office was designed specifically to suit Wormald Burrows immediate needs and provide room for future expansion.
“We work with each company individually to provide flexible rental arrangements and find that the fully serviced option works well with larger companies, allowing them to concentrate on the running of their business rather than the running of the office.”
The Wormald Burrows Partnership was set up in Biggleswade in 1979 and employs 25 staff.
