Careers fair goes live

JOBSTODAY, part of Johnston Press and the Melton Times’ jobs platform, is to host a national Virtual Careers Fair to connect employers with jobseekers.

The Virtual Careers Fair is an online platform where employers can showcase their business and vacancies to relevant jobseekers through a virtual stand, and connect to promising individuals in a real-time environment.

The 11-day fair will take place from February 18 and March 1.

With great online features such as chat and video technology, businesses can bring to life their vacancies while jobseekers have the opportunity to really show off their skills and expertise to help them land their next job.

A wide range of employers will be attending to suit every candidate’s needs – great businesses already booked to attend include IKEA, the Hesley Group and Victoria’s Secret.

A pre-registration process will ensure that only the most motivated jobseekers attend the fair and they also receive essential updates helping them to prepare fully and maximise their opportunity for success. Plus, all jobseekers who register before February 18 will be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win an iPad Mini.

Jobstoday, as part of Johnston Press, has a marketing reach of 14 million people.

Joanne Harwood, Group Category Manager at Johnston Press, said: “We ran two very successful Virtual Careers Fairs last year focusing on the healthcare and customer service and sales and we are extremely keen to help candidates and employers connect again all over the country.

“This time we’re running a national fair to include all sectors and businesses so that we are able to offer something for everyone. The fair will help great employers connect to local jobseekers who are really committed to finding a new job and vice versa. We wish everyone the best of luck.”

Jobseekers interested in the fair are encouraged to sign up for free today at www.virtualcareerevent.com/jtuk
