A fond farewell to the Betts family by the Melton Team Parish
The Melton Team Parish said a fond farewell to Stewart, Zoe and Joanna Betts last Sunday at a special parish communion service in St Mary's Church.
Stewart, who led and preached at the service, has been in the parish for more than four years and is moving to Cuddesdon, near Oxford, to begin training for the ordained ministry.
After the service at St Mary’s, which was attended by people from many of the other churches in the town, the family was presented with a teddy bear each and Stewart received some books and money as a leaving present.
Joanna was then invited to blow out the candles on a specially made cake and had some help from Mum and Dad.
