Hundreds raised at Melton Mowbray Golf Club's Mid-Summer Stilton Rally event

The event, last Wednesday evening, was held in support of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance which is the nominated charity of club captain Ian Solloway.

Organiser Brendan Boyce said: “The weather was lovely and brought out a large number of spectators to admire the superb vehicles on show.

“We had 68 wonderful cars and motor bikes on display (an increase on the 2015 event) and raised £140.

“It was an enjoyable evening, which I know vice club captain Glenn Price is looking forward to repeating next year.”

Colston Bassett Dairy kindly sponsored the event and supplied a gift of their award winning Blue Stilton to the owners of the cars/motor bikes as a thank you for coming along.
